Ronald Brenke, PE, QBS Michigan Manager, announced that the Michigan Qualifications-Based Selection Coalition was able to reach hundreds of city managers and staff during the Michigan Municipal League Conference held last week in Kalamazoo.
The QBS Coalition exhibit was manned by Troy Clay, Michigan QBS Facilitator (pictured with a visitor in front of the QBS exhibitor booth). Clay talked with the crowds that came through the exhibit area about the importance of using QBS to develop quality projects.
The Michigan QBS Coalition is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to providing public agencies/entities with information on how to develop procurement policies and procedures for selecting design professionals, which lead to quality, cost-effective projects. The services of a QBS Program can be instrumental in familiarizing owners with the QBS process and broadening the use of QBS among state and local agencies.
“I’m pleased that Troy was able to touch base with so many people at the MML Conference,” Brenke said. “Getting face-to-face time with many of our potential partners is a challenge, so our time at the Conference was extremely valuable as the Coalition continues to get the word out about the benefits of QBS.”
