Detroit Science Center was presented with a second contribution installment by ACEC Member and DSC Chair, Mark Smolinski (G2 Consulting), in December.  The fundraising effort to raise $40,000 for the ACEC/Michigan Design Center began in 2008 and as we come to the end of 2009, we are close to that goal.  ACEC/M has been offered the unique opportunity to be part of the Detroit Science Center's 'Roads, Bridges & Tunnels' exhibit which will show the engineering, science and technology that go into building and operating roads, bridges and tunnels.  The gallery will be open for 10 years, reach up to 5 million visitors, and the ACEC/M Design Center will display the names of all of those who have contributed to the design portion.
