On Tuesday, February 16, MSPE President John Condie PE (FTCH) and ACEC Board Member Mike Cooper PE (Harley Ellis Devereaux) teamed up to represent the architects and engineers by making a presentation on “sustainability in design” before the House Urban Policy Committee.  Their presentation was very well received and helped to solidify the organizations’ reputation as a valued resource to the legislature and the technical experts when it comes to sustainable design.

This is the third such presentation given to the legislature, the first given to the House Energy & Technology Committee on June 16 and the second during a luncheon in the House Mackinac Room on August 19. The “Green Team” will be meeting with Senator Jason Allen in March to offer guidance and insight on several bills being drafted in the Senate pertaining to sustainability.
