Each year the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Michigan, the American Institute of Architects/Michigan (AIA/M) and the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE) jointly host a legislative day in Lansing. The goal is to have members of the organizations come to Lansing to visit with their respective legislators and share with them the issues of importance to the architectural and engineering community.

Appointments are made throughout the day and a reception is held for all legislators. This event has grown significantly over the past several years and continues to be a popular and important event for both design professionals and their elected representatives.


Please plan to attend this very important annual event and demonstrate to the legislature that the design professionals speak with a strong voice. Complete the registration form below and an appointment will be made with your elected Representative in both the House and Senate. Information will be available defining our key legislative issues and a briefing will occur the day of the event.

Architects & Engineers Day is March 17, 2010 in Lansing .

The days schedule is as follows:
8:30 – 9:00 a.m.                    Welcome reception with light breakfast served
9:00 – 9:45 a.m.                    Legislative update and briefing
10:00 – Noon                         Meetings with State Representatives
10:00 – Noon                         Guest speakers-Christman Building, Ground Floor
Noon – 1:30 p.m.                    Luncheon Reception with Legislators
                                             Will be held at Troppo's Restaurant.
1:30 – 4:00 p.m.                    Meetings with State Senators
