Spicer Group, Inc.
Spicer used 3D depth sounding equipment, laser scanning technology, and conventional surveying techniques to collect information for a future deck replacement. Spicer produced data that allows the client to observe a hydraulic model and structure scan of the bridge on a computer and view hundreds of types of measurements—all with the click of a mouse.

NTH Consultants, Ltd.
A precedent setting Brine Well Cavity Investigation program was performed by NTH Consultants to delineate the size, locations, and shape of potential cavities in two proposed border crossings between Detroit, Michigan and Windsor, Ontario, Canada. NTH evaluated the potential impacts of these cavities with respect to conceptual designs for the proposed international crossing.

Micro-Composite Multi-Structural Formable (MMFX) reinforcing steel is an alternative material being investigated by DOTs in a quest to achieve a 75-year bridge deck service life. This was a pilot project for the use of MMFX reinforcing steel in the reconstructed bridge deck, barriers, and backwalls.

Oakland County
Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc.
HRC inspected and surveyed over 8.15 miles of combined sewer-tunnel, the precise location and construction features of which were unknown. Innovative application of conventional surveying techniques applied both above grade and inside the sewer allowed the curvilinear tunnel to be located with exceptional accuracy for the Oakland County Drain Commissioner.
