Congratulations to the ACEC/Michigan 2025 Scholarship Recipients,
who received a combined total of $27,000!
ACEC/Michigan's Scholarship Program was created to promote the profession and to provide financial support to those individuals pursuing careers in engineering and surveying. On an annual basis, the Council awards scholarships to deserving college students who have completed their freshman year and are enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering or surveying program. Recipients of the awards will be evaluated in the following areas: Work experience, extra-curricular and community activities, references, grade point average, and a written essay.
2025- 2026 Scholarship Application:
The ACEC/Michigan scholarship is open to students who have lived, worked or gone to school in Michigan. The student must have worked for a consulting engineering, surveying, or architectural/engineering firm within the past 24 months.

The application will be available Fall 2025
All scholarships awards are presented to students in March at the Annual Engineering & Surveying Excellence Awards Gala.
ACEC/Michigan Scholarships
ACEC/Michigan awards approximately $15,000 - $20,000 each year to 4 - 6 college students. Multiple scholarships are awarded in varying amounts with the top scholarship award averaging $5,000.
PCIA Scholarship
Due to the generous contribution of Professional Concepts Insurance Agency (PCIA), ACEC/Michigan annually awards a $2,000 PCIA scholarship to a deserving engineering student who demonstrates exemplary community service. All applications submitted for the ACEC/Michigan scholarships are evaluated for this additional award.
Steve Wagner Scholarship
Steve Wagner retired as Executive Director of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Michigan (ACEC/Michigan) in 2003 after 34 years of service. As a member of the Capitol Club and Michigan Society of Association Executives, Steve was well respected by his peers and colleagues and is known for his honesty and integrity. Throughout his career, Steve has always been a large proponent of community service and has given many hours himself to church and community programs. Steve has also been a strong proponent of education. ACEC/Michigan has created this scholarship in honor of Steve Wagner to award those engineering and surveying students who, like Steve, are active in the community and find it important and necessary to give something back.
